Why Book An Open Course With Lightning Training Solutions?
Our staff are professionally qualified in health and safety training as well as First Aid Training, and they have more than 25 years of experience in training. We also have practical frontline experience gained from working in actual emergency situations within the Military, Emergency Services, or NHS.
We offer training courses that aim to give individuals the confidence and knowledge needed to handle emergency situations effectively. The first few minutes during an incident are crucial for stabilizing a casualty, administering lifesaving care, and providing essential support before the arrival of Emergency Services.
First Aid at Work Open Courses (FAW)
Throughout our First Aid at Work Course, which conforms with HSE guidance, participants can expect to learn how to:
- identify the roles and responsibilities of a First Aider,
- complete accident report forms accurately
- place a casualty into the recovery position
- administer Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and understand the placement of pads.
Additionally, you will learn how to identify different types of external bleeding and apply appropriate control measures, manage a casualty experiencing shock, and recognise and provide basic care for minor burns and scalds.
By the end of the course, you will have acquired a solid foundation in First Aid principles and practices, enabling you to respond effectively to workplace emergencies with confidence.
